Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Houndseer's delivery-platform payout auditing software (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Houndseer retrieves and parses your DoorDash, GrubHub, and UberEats payout statements, checks them against your contracted commission rates, and — where you've connected a bank account — compares platform deposits against expected proceeds, to surface payout discrepancies for restaurants and food-service businesses.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.
3. Bank Connections
If you choose to connect a bank account, that connection is established through Plaid, a third-party service. Houndseer never receives or stores your online banking username or password. You may disconnect your bank account at any time from Settings, which revokes Houndseer's access to your transaction data.
4. Your Data
You retain ownership of the payout and transaction data associated with your account. You grant Houndseer a limited license to process, store, and analyze that data solely to provide and improve the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by uploading data you do not have the right to share, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Houndseer's discrepancy-detection features are provided as informational tools only — we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any flagged discrepancy, and you remain solely responsible for verifying and pursuing any dispute with the relevant delivery platform. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Houndseer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Houndseer harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and data deletion is handled per our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Disputes will not be resolved on a class, collective, or representative basis, and each party waives any right to a jury trial.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page, and continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.
